The increasing demand for sustainable and low-carbon-footprint products drives the need for specific and comprehensive information on product environmental footprints.
In this presentation, Wacker and AllocNow discuss why standardization of sustainability accounting methodologies is critical and how a data-driven approach can help to create transparency at scale.
In a case study they demonstrate how to operationalize the recently published TfS PCF-Guideline with AllocNow’s Product Sustainability Platform.
This presentation covers:
Daniel Bochnitschek is Co-Founder and CEO of AllocNow. Together with his team he supports chemical companies in driving the transformation towards sustainable and circular business models. Prior to co-founding AllocNow, he spent eight years in management consulting, focusing on strategic and operational issues in the chemical industry and related sectors.
The Pop in My Job:
Having the luxury of working on a super relevant and interesting matter with an inspiring team and customers in a very science-driven industry that I perceive as being absolutely serious about climate protection and the transition towards a circular economy.
Dominik Auer has a background on silicone chemistry and works within WACKER’s Corporate Sustainability team with focus on life cycle assessment and carbon accounting. He co-heads the implementation project of WACKER’s automated PCF solution. The tool is based on the TfS PCF Guideline, which he also helped to shape as WACKER participant.
The Pop in My Job:
Driven by passion to create transparency and understand our leverage to improve the product carbon footprint of WACKER’s more than 3500 products. Surrounded by great teams in Corporate Sustainability and in our implementation project we want to accelerate the climate transformation by finding multipliers within the company and along our value chains.
